The first question factories will ask is, what would you like to produce. The second question will be, how many would you like to produce? They want to know how many per style, per fabric, per color and per embellishment. All of this information is used by them to decide if they will accept your order. A quantity breakdown list provides all this information. Funny thing is, 99% of clients refuse to fill it in and their reason is that they need to know the price first. If you want to figure out your import duty first you need to know about the harmonized system. It is a list of 5,000 plus commodities. Second you need to know what HS Codes are. Each commodity has a unique HS Code which you need to figure out your import duty. Finally you need to look up your HS Code in country-specific Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
